With a closed fist, we unite to fight against oppressive systems. We know that real change will come only when impacted communities organize, take action, and speak for themselves
D.A.L.E.
We are committed to organizing low-wage workers across all races, genders, and industries to strengthen the right to organize, achieve socio economic justice, and build a democratic and diverse movement of low-wage workers. Desde Abajo Labor Enforcement (D.A.L.E) is a national campaign where workers can make labor complaints such as wage theft, workplace harassment and many more to state and federal agencies and will be protected with deferred action.
NJ BILL OF RIGHTS FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS
We have won the passing of the law this January 2024 and now we must continue implementing the budget so that it is effective in July 2024. In the domestic workers committee, we ensure that our work is seen and valued by our society. We have organized to push the NJ Bill of Rights and held workshops for the community. We will continue to do the same.
I.C.E. OUT OF NJ
We believe that immigrant detention will finally end in New Jersey. We have already managed to get NJ to pass a law that prohibits more private detention centers and the opening of more detention centers in our state, but since 3 of the 4 detention centers that existed were closed now we have to fight again to close the LAST detention center left in New Jersey in 2024. Our fight to put a stop to the collaboration of local police and immigration is stronger every day and we will not stop until we have justice and release. We organize to stop deportations through a combination of legal advocacy, political pressure, storytelling, and community organizing. Since 2016, we have successfully helped families stop nearly 90 deportations. If you or your loved one are in detention or have an active deportation case, call us at 609-436-0207 or email info@resistenciaenaccionnj.org.
