Our Programs

HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAININGS

We believe in leadership development through health and safety training, which focuses on analyzing the basis of social inequality in our community, and also creating an alternative solution based on our needs which is the key to creating social awareness in marginalized communities and communities of color. We have monthly training in Princeton and Trenton.

We also have OSHA 30 training twice a year.  If you want to be part of OSHA training, contact our office number.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS CLASSES (ESL)

We believe that the only way to become stronger is to have more knowledge through education. In our English classes we learn English to use in our daily lives and at work. The various levels of English give students rigor so they can advance in writing and conversation. Our curriculum includes several topics including how to speak to the doctor, what rights do I have at work, and how to communicate with my child’s school.

The semesters run from September to December and February to May. For more information call our office.

RADIO JORNALERA NJ

Radio Jornalera NJ is an alternative media online radio station that gives voice to excluded workers in our community. Our programs focus on defending the rights of migrants and low-income workers in the state, which has a large network of listeners on a local and national scale. Visit the website: www.radiojornaleranj.org to see our programming.

SOLIDARITY NOT CHARITY: FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Since the beginning of the pandemic we could see that food justice was not part of our community, so we organized and formed a food pantry committee with volunteer workers from Resistencia en Acción NJ, Princeton Mutual Aid and Witherspoon Presbyterian Church, where we have fed at least 100 families monthly since May 2020. Our distribution occurs every other Monday at 7:30 pm. If you want more information contact us or visit us on Mondays without any strings attached.
